Newly edited in April 2017
Sean is being held for questioning at the police station while Scarlet and Janice fear for their lives. Ryan is their sole protector because Cortland is kept in the dark about the situation. Scarlet doesn’t want him to know the truth so she can spare him. When they travel to New York, things go from bad to worse. It becomes clear that Sean doesn’t have a good chance of evading prosecution, Sean’s mom seems to dislike Scarlet more than she did before, and Scarlet has to fearfully look over her shoulder every moment. As is common in the Forever and Always series, family bands together and relationships are repaired. Mike proves he isn’t what he seemed, and Janice’s family meet Ryan for the first time. When Scarlet feels helpless, unable to stop the devastating events of their lives, she’s left with a choice. It’s the only option she has but she has to take it. If not, she may lose everything.

I have a business degree; not an English or Literature degree. I love a good story, and love to read....but grammar and punctuation don't normally bother me. As long as the story flows well, the style of writing doesn't bother me. But this was horribly written!!! I'm not sure if it was the writer, the publisher, or Amazon's Kindle e-book system.I have written a couple of reviews on this series, and I always start the same. I feel it is important to know that I am not a snob when it comes to grammar or typos. I only have a big problem with them when the stop the flow of the book.
This is the beginning of all the major issues with this series. The second page in Chapter 6 there is a character named Bryan. on this page they refer to Bryan as Brian, then the next sentence Bryan, then Brian, then Bryan...it is the most frustrating thing. I had to stop reading and make sure there weren't 2 characters named Bryan. I know that sounds ridiculous, but when the author can't even pick which way she's going to spell a character's name ON THE SAME PAGE, there is an issue. This is only 1 of the many many typos in this book.
If I would have purchased this book at B & N or Target, I would be returning the book.
As far as the story goes, I really enjoy the story itself. I like the characters and the story seems to keep my attention. I just can't get past all of the errors. I have gotten to book 9 and I can't go any further. I know there are at least 14 in the series so far, but I just can't do it.

Fight for Love Forever and Always #5 edition by E L Todd Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
The writing in these books are horrible. There are so many errors that should have been caught by the editor and they were not. There are also parts of the books that are completely unbelievable. The author should have done some basic research to get the facts correct.
I really love the story, but I'm really disappointed in the number of grammatical errors... It's like the book was never edited, either by an author proof read or an editor. The cost of the book with the quality of writing is not worth it.
The continuation of Sean and Scarlett's romance. Sean is arrested and Scarlet and her family are in danger, but there is some redemption and issues solved for Mike and Scarlet. Ryan calls his sister the relationship whisperer. I think he is right. Now looking for the happy ever after.
I really enjoy this series, but I find it very difficult when I am reading and then having to reread because it doesn't make sense, because of the grammatical errors. Scarlet and Janice are both editors, how did you guys let these errors eek through. Don't get me wrong I really enjoy the series, but 22 books and each book keeps getting shorter and the price stays the same.
I loved this series read 1 - 3 so fast. When I finished I read this one. I do not mind paying for a book but this was a disappointment. Only half of the book was about Sean and his love. The remainder is a sample of a whole new series. I read this in 2 hours. And apparently there is another book in between. I am sorry to say I will not be reading the remainder of the series even though I love this author's ability to make me feel the highest and lowest moments experienced by these characters.
I can't wait to see what happens next. The character development is amazing! This book did have a few errors but I was easily able to look over them, but if your OCD about those things it may drive you a little bonkers. I can't wait to see what happens next.... Vegas is going to be crazy with this crew.
The twists and turns do not stop for Scarlett and Sean. With Sean in jail the crew Scarlet, Ryan and Janice run off to New York to help despite that chance that her old boss may be after her. Cortland is kept in the dark as to why they are leaving due to his girlfriend's mother's death. Scarlet feels he needs to stay behind to comfort her rather than off in NY to help Scarlet.
Things are worse than expected when a gunman breaks into Mike's apartment. I find it a little extreme that a pervert boss that was thrown in jail for it is plotting murder. Sean is in jail for roughing him up, and he is destroying Scarlet's happily ever after should be enough. I guess it could happen because there are crazy people out there, but that part of the story seems like there should be something more behind it. Maybe it will be revealed later on.
Sean's mother absolutely blows my mind. The comments and distaste for Scarlet grows despite all the previous year's of treating her like a daughter. It just blows my mind. I am glad that Sean finally comes clean with his mom about Penelope, but this is something he should have done from the start. If you intend on spending the rest of your life with Scarlet then who cares what happens to Penelope. His first priority should be his family and the mistreatment could have been easily resolved with the truth.
I'm still waiting for Ryan to find out about Janice and Sean as his feelings continue to grow for her. When the truth is revealed I think it will blow apart their happy little family.
Sorry if this review is a little vague, I actually read the book awhile ago and tried writing the review 4 times, but goodreads kept crashing so I said I would do it later and forgot. I noticed it in my to read list the other day and am trying to remember every detail and emotion which is sometimes difficult in my fast paced life. -)
